| The Arts - Theatre, Dance and Performances |
As a photographer it is always a pleasure shooting performances. Again, being the observer, allowing the actors and artists to express themselves through the lens. During live theatrical events, the costumes, lighting and actors paint the picture, I just have to be ready to capture that right moment, either by coincidence or by anticipation.
Doing this kind of photography requires good photographic material, including a tripod, a 300mm telelens and a 1:1.4 50mm lens. Working in low light conditions, it is important to have a very wide opening aperture lens so you don't get too much movement blur. It is also sometimes necessary to push the ISO up.
Well without more challenges, photography would be boring.
